Description

Boron carbide powder B4C F100

Boron carbide powder B4C F100 is high-grade superhard abrasive material manufactured through high-temperature synthesis, crushing, purification and strict F-standard particle classification. Featuring outstanding hardness, low density, strong chemical stability and excellent self-sharpening property, this F100 grade boron carbide powder delivers consistent cutting performance and has become a preferred abrasive medium for precision industrial surface treatment and fine grinding processes.
The raw material is pure boron carbide with the chemical formula B₄C. After precise crushing and mesh screening, F100 grit achieves uniform particle size distribution and fewer oversize grains. Compared with silicon carbide and fused alumina abrasives, B4C F100 owns higher hardness, making it suitable for processing hard-to-machine workpieces. It resists corrosion against most acids and alkalis, maintaining stable performance under dry and wet grinding conditions.
In sandblasting applications, B4C F100 boron carbide powder removes oxide layers, burrs and surface defects of hard alloys, ceramics and metal components. It can realize uniform matte surface finishing without embedding impurities into workpiece surfaces. Many manufacturers deploy this powder for precision mold cleaning, aerospace part surface treatment and hardware precision deburring.
As a grinding raw material, F100 boron carbide powder is used to produce grinding paste, honing compound and coated abrasives. It supports medium grinding procedures before fine polishing for cemented carbide, sapphire and quartz components. It is also a critical feedstock for sintering boron carbide wear-resistant components such as sandblasting nozzles and sealing rings.
Moreover, B4C F100 powder serves as functional filler for wear-resistant coatings and composite materials. When added into resin or metal matrix composites, it improves surface hardness and abrasion resistance. Thanks to its neutron absorption capability, qualified boron carbide powder can be further processed for nuclear shielding material production.
This F100 grade balances cutting efficiency and surface finish. It is reusable under proper recycling conditions, helping enterprises lower comprehensive production costs. Strict impurity control guarantees stable quality for export-grade industrial customers across machinery, aerospace, new material and surface treatment industries.
